Au’Diese Toney, a 6-foot-6 combo guard from Trinity Christian Academy (AL), committed to Pittsburgh on Saturday during his visit.

Originally a member of the Class of 2019, he reclassified to 2018. Toney is ranked the No. 36 small forward in 2019 by 247Sports.com.

He joins point guards Xavier Johnson and Trey McGowens in Jeff Capel’s 2018 class.

“He’s a dog and he won’t back down from anyone,” McGowens said of Toney. “He’ll bring defense and anything else we need. He can do it all. He’s a great player and an even better person. Glad he decided to join the family.”

The Panthers have one more scholarship to use if they choose.
