  • Keldon Johnson, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound small forward from Oak Hill Academy (VA), took his final official visit to Maryland this weekend and hopes to make a decision by November.

He’s considering four schools: Kentucky, Maryland, N.C. State and Texas.

“We enjoyed ourselves as a family,” his father Chris said Sunday evening. “We got to see a lot of stuff we didn’t know they had, technology. They had the strength and conditioning coach, so it was good, really good.”

Asked what his role there would be, Chris said, “From Day One, it would be his team. They would put the ball in his hands and let him go out and make plays. He has to be in shape and be ready for that. The opportunity will be there for him to do what he needs to do.”
