Adrien Nunez, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard from St. Thomas More (CT), has committed to Michigan via his Twitter.

“Michigan has the complete package as a school,” Nunez told Rivals. “They are a top academic school in the country, and they just won the Big Ten last year.”

A three-star recruit, Nunez chose the Wolverines over Penn State, St. Joe’s and VCU.

Nunez is the second recruit for John Beilein in a matter of weeks along with four-star forward Ignas Brazdeikis who committed to the Maize and Blue on Sept. 22.

Brazdeikis and Nunez make up half of the 2018 Michigan recruiting class to go with guard David DeJulius and four-star forward Brandon Johns.

“Adrien Nunez is a great story for kids who haven’t been recruited heavily throughout high school,” St. Thomas More coach Jere Quinn told ZAGSBLOG. “Last year at this time there was D-2 interest but with time spent in the gym, he made himself into an excellent shooter with athleticism and range. His improvement should only continue because he is a grounded kid who is an excellent student from a supportive family. Looking forward to coaching him this year. I think he has a chance to be a nice addition to the Michigan program.”

According to 247Sports, Nunez is No. 62 shooting guard in the 2018 class and the No. 2 player from the state of New York.
