    Auburn, Arizona, Oklahoma State and USC suspended or placed assistant basketball coaches on leave on Tuesday after they were named in the FBI investigation that found they had taken thousands of dollars in bribes.

    USC issued this statement in regards to assistant Tony Bland. USC also said it has hired former FBI Director Louis J. Freeh to conduct an “internal investigation.”

    Arizona, meantime, relieved Book Richardson of his duties and called his actions “completely unacceptable.”

    Oklahoma State suspended Lamont Evans with pay.

    At Auburn, Chuck Person, known in his playing days as “The Rifleman, was suspended without pay.
