Dwayne Cohill, the 6-foot-2 combo guard from Holy Name (OH), told ZAGSBLOG on Thursday that Dayton, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, Missouri, New Mexico, and Clemson are making him a priority in this stage of his recruitment. He broke down each school:

Dayton: “I love the coaching staff there and the opportunity I have there. I have the ability to go in and be an impact player right away and have the ball in my hands.”

Ohio State: “I have the opportunity as well to be an impact player. They are in need of a lead guard and have made me, a priority. Also, the coaching staff is great, and I have built a great relationship with them.”

Virginia Tech: “Coach Buzz [Williams] and his staff are great people. They made a conscious effort to get as much as possible as Ohio State. They play in one of the best conferences, and I think I fit their system really well.”

Vanderbilt: “Coach [Bryce] Drew, and his staff have made me a priority. I feel like I fit the school and what they need at the lead guard position. I feel like I can make an impact and I have a great relationship with them.”

Missouri: “The coaching has been great in recruiting me, and they have made me a priority. Plus, I have a great relationship with them.”

New Mexico: “The coaches have stressed they need a lead guard that can impact the game and the staff has made me a priority as I talk with one of the staff members every day.”

Clemson: “They need a guard also, and I have a great relationship with the coaches.”

Cohill said he has three visits planned: Dayton (Sept. 15-17), Ohio State (Sept. 22-24) and Virginia Tech (Oct. 22-24) but hasn’t decided where he will take his two other official visits. As for committing, Cohill stated, “he’d make a decision before the high school season.”

According to 247Sports.com, Cohill is the No. 7 ranked combo guard in the class of 2018 and No. 5 player in the state of Ohio.
