CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Ranney School has two of the nation’s most sought after players in the Class of 2019 in shooting guard Scottie Lewis and combo guard Bryan Antoine.

The 6-foot-5 Lewis is ranked No. 5 by Scout.com, while the 6-4 Antoine is No. 10.

Both are attending the NBA Top 100 Camp this week and heard from a slew of high-major programs at midnight on Thursday, when college coaches could begin calling.

Duke, Florida, Maryland, UConn, St. John’s, Rutgers and Stanford all reached out, with Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski calling Antoine on Thursday. Antoine also Tweeted out that Duke, Florida, St. John’s and Maryland had reached out.

The duo talked their summer, their recruitment, and the possibility of playing together at the next level.

“This is a great opportunity to put yourself on this kind of platform with these amazing reporters and these amazing coaches and these amazing scouts that are here,” Lewis said. “If you want to play at the highest level this is definitely the camp you go to be a part of sometime down the road.”

    Duke is prioritizing Antoine.

“[Duke], they’re in constant contact with Bryan Antoine,” Lewis said. “They’re very interested in him. I haven’t really heard from Duke that much. There’s a lot of schools I have been hearing from constantly but they’re not one of them.”

Lewis and Antonie recently also got back from unofficials to Kentucky and Louisville and also attended the Kentucky Derby.

“I was there around the same time as the Kentucky Derby,” Lewis said. “I took two visits down there. Louisville’s a geat school. Their was pitch was as far as their defense goes, how they play, and how they push the ball.”

The duo does talk frequently about pairing up in college.

“That’s definitely something me and Bryan talk about every day,” Lewis said. “We go to the same school. We’re on the same team. And we’re in the gym every single day together. Every time after we workout I ask him and he asks me [about pairing up at the next level], about schools that we’d go to together at and schools that we wouldn’t.

Lewis said it was one of the top factors in both of their recruitments.

“I would say as far as college goes it’s one of the top things we’re looking for [on if it’s a priority for him and Lewis to play together],” he said. “I think as far as from a business standpoint and publicity and things like that I think we’re looking forward to making that decision.”

    Antoine concurred.

“It’s very possible,” he said. “We’ve gone to the same school since freshman year. I’ve known him since 7th or 8th grade so the camaraderie is already up there.”

Antoine mentioned Florida, Maryland and St. John’s as options for teaming up. The teammates will actually take an unofficial visit to St. John’s on Wednesday with several of their Team Rio teammates.

“St. John’s is family,” Lewis said. “All those guys, Chris Mullin, they treat me really well. They’re in constant contact all the time. I’m definitely expecting a call from Chris Mullin [at midnight]. If I don’t [hear from him] I’ll curse him out when I see him.”

Lewis also has a tight bond with Florida.

“Florida, I know every single staff member,” he said. “I know everyone on the team. I talk to [Chris] Chiozza and [Devin] Robinson 24/7. Those are guys I have a really close relationship with.”

Antoine has taken unofficials to Florida, Seton Hall, Villanova, and Rutgers but should hear from many coaches going forward.
