Tevin Mack, who had been suspended at Texas since mid-January for a violation of team rules, is transferring to Alabama.

The 6-foot-6 small forward out of Columbia (S.C.) Dresser initially picked Texas over Georgia and Clemson. Mack had initially pledged to Shaka Smart at VCU.

He will sit one year to play two.

Mack was averaging a team-best 14.8 points and 4.8 rebounds for the Longhorns.
