As the second April live period begins, Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin and his staff got some good news.

Mamoudou Diarra,  a 6-foot-9 power forward from Greenville (S.C.) 22 Feet Academy and Senegal, pledged to Cincinnati.

Missouri, N.C. State, Kansas State, Rutgers, SMU, Mississippi State, Wichita State, UConn and St. John’s reached out to Diarra after he decommitted from Washington following the coaching change.

He is ranked the No. 38 small forward in the Class of 2017 by 247sports.com.

He joins New York shooting guard Keith Williams in Cincinnati’s 2017 class.
