Seton Hall sophomore Veer Singh of New York will transfer from the program, head coach Kevin Willard announced Friday.

“Veer is a good young man, and we appreciate everything he has done for our program during his time here,” Willard said. “We respect his decision to transfer to another institution, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Singh, a member of the 2016 Big East All-Academic team awarded to student-athletes with a GPA over 3.0, appeared in 39 career games for Seton Hall and averaged 2.0 points.

Singh committed to Seton Hall in March 2015 after reclassing to 2015 from 2016.

He is expected to have 1 1/2 years of eligibility remaining when he transfers.
