  • Austin Wiley Enrolls at Auburn, Expected to Play Sunday

    Austin Wiley, a 6-foot-10 power forward from Birmingham (AL) Spain Park, has enrolled at Auburn and is expected to play Sunday against Mercer, according to multiple reports.

    Wiley is ranked No. 16 in the Class of 2017 by 247Sports.com.

    “He is in practice right now,” Auburn Coach Bruce Pearl told CBSSports.com. “He will play Sunday.”

    Wiley is a strong post player and the son of former Auburn players Vickie Orr Wiley and Aubrey Wiley.

    The Alabama Class 71 Player of the Year in 2016, he averaged 27.1 points., 12.7 rebounds. and 2.9 blocks as a junior last season to help his team reach the Alabama Class 7A semifinals.

    Auburn is 7-2, with losses to Purdue and most recently to Boston College on Monday night at Madison Square Garden.
