Daejon Davis, the 6-foot-3 combo guard from Garfield (WA) High School, announced his commitment to Washington on Monday via Twitter.

“I’m going to Washington,” Davis told Scout.com. “After looking at all the schools and evaluating them equally, I just felt the highest level of trust with the coaching staff and the highest level of trust and support system from their academic advisors sand their athletic directors and everyone I met back when I was committed.”

“I just realized college is a decision made off of a trust,” he added. “When I was making this decision, I felt most comfortable putting my trust in coach Romar and his staff.”

Davis joins Michael Porter Jr., Jaylen Nowell, Blake Harris, and Mamoudou Diarra as the fifth commit in Washington’s 2017 class.

Davis was previously committed to Washington before de-committing in April.
