Jamal Cain, a 6-foot-7 small forward from Melvindale (MI) Academy For Business And Technology, verbally committed to Marquette during his official visit on Saturday.

Cain also considered Florida State, Georgia, Marquette and Michigan.

The commitment was first reported by Scout.com.

Cain is Marquette’s third commit in 2017, joining 6-9 power forward Theo John and 6-9 power forward Ikechukwu Eke.

Marquette remains in the mix for PSA Cardinals forward Hasahn French, who visited Marquette last weekend and recently cut his list to include Marquette, UNLV, St. Louis, UMass, Minnesota and VCU, and Xavier Tillman, a 6-8 power forward who is slated to visit Marquette next weekend.
