4_2962480Alani Moore, a 5-foot-10 point guard from Friendship Collegiate (DC), verbally committed to Temple, he announced on Twitter.

“It was the warm welcome I received from the coaches, future teammates and entire University,” Moore said by text.

“I’ll be a leader and a floor general.”

Ranked the 29th best point guard in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports.com, Moore also considered UMass, Seton Hall and Georgia Tech. He should give Temple needed depth at the point guard spot.

“Moore is a aggressive point guard that can push the pace, delivers the ball and scores when it presents itself,” ESPN wrote. “He can run the offense and can make plays for himself or teammates within the offense or at high speeds on the break.”
