2014 adidas Super 64Thon Maker is unlikely to reclass to 2015 from 2016, his guardian reiterated to SNY.tv Tuesday.

“It would be unlikely at this stage,” Ed Smith said Monday. “It depends how heavy the academic load would be. Also, Thon has to be physically prepared for college ball.”

Smith made similar comments to AllHoosiers.com last week in Las Vegas, where Maker went for 21 points and 11 rebounds in a game against Jaylen Brown’s AAU team.

The 7-foot Maker holds offers from Kentucky, Kansas, Louisville, Duke and Memphis, among others.

Smith previously said he would know by January whether or not Maker would reclass, making him eligible for the 2016 NBA Draft.
