WEST ORANGE. N.J. — Bryant Crawford, a 6-foot-2 point guard from Washington, D.C., Gonzaga and Team Takeover, will visit Villanova Thursday and Louisville June 11. He is also working on a visit to Maryland, Gonzaga coach Steve Turner told SNY.tv.

N.C. State, Wake Forest, Indiana and Georgetown are also involved for Crawford, who went for 20 points in a losing effort Saturday night in the Mary Kline Classic Underclassmen Game at West Orange High School.

“I think finally people are going to see this spring the real Bryant Crawford,” Turner said by phone. “Bryant’s had to deal with a couple different injuries during his high school career and from where he was at the beginning of it all to he is now he’s basically back to where thought he would be.”

Crawford missed his freshman season after breaking his leg and was sidelined for part of the 2013  summer after knee surgery. In December, he broke his thumb.

“So now he’s 100 percent healthy and is playing some great basketball,” Turner said. “Bryant is a pass-first point guard and for me personally, I love it because I think he’s the total package. So many point guards now just score, score, score, but I don’t think they make others better. He’s always been a guy that can make others better, which allows him to be a multi-dimensional point guard and one of the best in his class.”

Crawford is ranked the No. 13 point guard in the Class of 2015 in the 247Sports.com composite rankings.

As of now, Crawford has the Louisville visit June 11 and Turner said Maryland and Villanova are also trying to set up visits this month.

Louisville is also involved for 2015 point guard Isaiah Briscoe of Roselle (N.J.) Catholic, who plans to cut his list to eight later this month.
