Iona Prep small forward Matt Ryan has a possible torn labrum in his hip and could miss the remainder of the season, his father told SNY.tv Friday.

He is due to get an MRI on Wednesday.

“If it’s torn and they have to repair it, he’s out for the season,” Rich Ryan told SNY.tv.

“The doctor who examined him [Thursday] believes it’s a torn labrum but he doesn’t have definitive proof yet.”

His father said the injury has “been bothering him for a couple weeks” and he doesn’t believe it was “any single incident.”

The 6-foot-5 Ryan, who runs with the New Heights AAU program, is being recruited by Notre Dame, Duke, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Stanford and others.

Iona Prep will compete Saturday in the Big Apple Basketball Invitational at Baruch College.
