Seton Hall got a dose of good news Monday regarding Sterling Gibbs.

The point guard suffered a hyperextension and a bruised right knee and is expected to miss 1-2 weeks, a school spokesman told SNY.tv.

“I’m holding up. Just staying positive, not expecting to be out for too long,” Gibbs told SNY.tv.

Gibbs suffered the knee injury in Saturday’s 83-80 OT loss to St. Peter’s and it was feared it could have been serious.

Instead, he could be back by Big East Conference play.

Also on Monday, Gibbs was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 16.5 points, 2.5 assists and shooting 17-18 (.944) at the foul line last week.
