Having checked out 2015 guard Isaiah Briscoe earlier this week, Kentucky watched 2015 center Stephen Zimmerman Tuesday night at Las Vegas Bishop Gorman.

The news that Orlando Antigua would watch the 7-foot Zimmerman was first reported by Ben Roberts, and confirmed by Zimmerman’s stepmom.

“Yes, for our first game,” Lori Zimmerman said. “They text or call at least once a week, usually more.”

2015 forward Chase Jeter also plays for Gorman, but he told SNY.tv that Kentucky is not currently recruiting him.

Zimmerman is the No. 2-rated prospect in 2015 by Rivals, and Jeter is No. 21.

On Monday, Kentucky assistant Kenny Payne saw Briscoe, 2015 forward Chris Silva and 2016 guard Asante Gist at Roselle (N.J.) Catholic following the team’s win Sunday over Providence in Brooklyn.

“Coach Payne was very impressed with how hard the kids played in practice,” RC coach Dave Boff told SNY.tv

“He liked Isaiah and Asante’s ability to make plays off the dribble for themselves and teammates and also was impressed with Chris’s motor and rebounding effort.”

Kentucky did not offer any of the players.

Ranked No. 17 by Rivals, Briscoe is being courted by Arizona, Syracuse, Florida, St. John’s, Seton Hall and Rutgers, among others. He watched Arizona last week in the NIT Season Tip-Off at Madison Square Garden.
