Rashad Vaughn, the top shooting guard in the nation, has cut his list to seven schools.

The 6-foot-5 Vaughn from Findlay Prep is now considering Arizona, Minnesota, Iowa State, UNLV, Baylor, North Carolina and Kansas.

Kentucky, Georgetown, UCLA and UConn are out.

Vaughn will take officials to Baylor Oct. 18 and to Iowa State Nov. 17. He has postponed his North Carolina visit.

Vaughn’s parents met with Iowa State yesterday (Monday) and with Minnesota last Friday. They also recently had home visits in Minnesota with Baylor, Kansas and North Carolina.

Kansas coach Bill Self, North Carolina’s Roy Williams, Iowa State’s Fred Hoiberg and Baylor’s Scott Drew also met with Vaughn recently in Las Vegas.
