St. John’s and SMU have officially entered the Isaiah Briscoe Sweepstakes.

The Johnnies recently offered the 2015 Roselle (N.J.) Catholic guard, as did SMU.

“Well, (St. John’s) is a great school,” Isaiah told “They play at the Garden which is a great place to play. And the coaching staff is doing a great job recruiting.”

George Briscoe, Isaiah’s father, also said he considered Steve Lavin of St. John’s and Larry Brown of SMU among the top college coaches.

St. John’s is expected to watch Briscoe work out Monday at RC, as are coaches from Rutgers, Seton Hall and Villanova.

RC also features 6-9 2015 power forward Chris Silva, who recently picked up a Syracuse offer, and 2016 point guard Asante Gist.

Briscoe, who transferred to RC from St. Benedict’s Prep, has listed Arizona, Syracuse, Florida and Seton Hall among those recruiting him the hardest.

Junior college point guard Jeff Newberry picked up an offer from UConn and won’t visit Memphis after they landed a pledge from PG Dominic Magee…Lincoln guard Isaiah Whitehead has home visits Wednesday with Pittsburgh and Minnesota….Blair Academy wing Marial Shayok hosts Marquette, Minnesota, USC, BC and Seton Hall this week…Rutgers commits Mike Williams, Bishop Daniels and D.J.
