  • Quadri Moore Planning Visits; Hall Pitching Delgado/Moore Frontcourt

NEW YORK — Quadri Moore is focusing on five schools, and is planning a couple of visits.

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound center from Linden (N.J.) High is working on visiting Cincinnati next weekend and is planning a trip to Miami.

“I’m working on a visit to Miami and I’m taking I think an unofficial next weekend to Cincinnati. I’m not sure if it’s going to be unofficial or official yet,” Moore told SNY.tv at the Reebok Classic Experience at Rucker Park where he had six rebounds and two points to help Team EBC beat team Reebok, 73-72.

Moore has visited Seton Hall unofficially several times, and said coach Kevin Willard and his staff are pitching a frontcourt of Moore and new commit Angel Delgado beginning in 2014.

“Yeah, that’s what they mainly talk about,” Moore said. “How if we wanted to we could really take over that conference and do big things at their school.”

Asked his thoughts on that possibility, Moore said, “I don’t really know because I’ve never really seen him play before. From what everybody been telling me he’s a pretty good player.”

Cincinnati is making a similar pitch, sans the Delgado pairing.

“They don’t come with as big-time a name as Angel but it’s basically the same thing,” he said. “I’m pretty sure they got good players there, too.”

On Miami, Moore has no visit date scheduled but is intrigued.

“Basically just that it’s Miami,” he said. “They had a pretty good run last year, too. Their coach seems like a pretty good coach, too.”

With Temple, Moore says he’s being recruited by assistant Dave Duke and spoke with him on Friday.

“They just check in on me to see how I’m doing,” he said.

Asked if he may visit, he said, “Yeah, I’ll try.”

Moore said he hasn’t heard much from Wake Forest recently.

New York recruiting expert Tom Konchalski believes Moore needs to develop his low post and back-to-the-basket games.

“He’s a guy who’s got to develop a back-to-the-basket game,” he said. “Right now he has a nice touch, he’s a little too infatuated with stepping outside and shooting 3’s. He’s gotta rebound more. He only had six rebounds, he’s got to rebound more. He’s got to learn to play 6-8. He’s lost 60 pounds, he’s in the best shape of his life, but he’s gotta learn to play 6-8.”
