As reported here earlier this week, 6-foot-11 Dallas big man Myles Turner has trimmed his list to 26 and plans to cut it again at the end of the month.

“I have trimmed my college list from 60 to 25. They will be released soon. I want to extend my thanks to every school that has recruited me!” he Tweeted.

“I will release my top 10-12 schools at the end of this month!”

According to Reggie Rankin, Turner is now considering the following schools: Arizona, Arkansas, Baylor, Connecticut, Duke, Georgetown, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Marquette, Miami (FL), North Carolina, N.C. State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, SMU, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, UT-Arlington, UCLA and UNLV.

“I’m still doing research on all these schools,” Myles said Wednesday by phone on his way to an unofficial visit at UT-Arlington.

He heads to the LeBron James Skills Academy in Las Vegas on Friday, and then to the Reebok Breakout Challenge in Philadelphia next week.

Kentucky, Louisville, Duke, North Carolina and Georgetown are some of the newer programs to call since the 6-foot-11 Turner exploded onto the scene at the NBPA Top Camp and then followed it up by starring earlier this week at the Nike Skills Academy at Kean University.

In addition to all the big dogs coming in recently, David Turner, Myles’ father, said Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Houston, Arkansas, Arizona, Texas A&M and even UT-Arlington (the first to offer) had been in the mix for some time now.

“His mom and I would love him to stay local,” said David. “I’m very proud of Myles. He hasn’t settled for anything.
