NEW YORK —  Don’t expect to see Marcus Camby play in a Knicks game until at least Friday against the Dallas Mavericks.

Coach Mike Woodson said he wanted to get Camby into a couple scrimmages this coming week before he plays in a game.

“I’d just like to see him bang around a little bit before we actually play him,” Woodson said before the Knicks moved to 2-0 with a 100-84 victory Sunday over the 76ers. “If we can get through these next two games [home-and-away with the Sixers], we’ll have three days to practice next week where I can get an opportunity to see him bang around a little bit.”

After Monday’s game at Philly, the Knicks host Dallas Friday and Indiana Sunday. So Camby, who missed three weeks in the preseason with a calf ailment, could debut then.

As for Rasheed Wallace, who scored his first NBA points since the 2010 NBA Final in Friday’s 104-84 win over the Miami Heat, Woodson said “he’s in the rotation, but it’s just based on personnel.”

He added: “Miami played small pretty much. Had [Joel] Anthony and [Udonis] Haslem played significant minutes the other night, Rasheed would’ve been in the mix big-time, but we didn’t have to play him based on personnel. A lot of times this year with our bigs, it’s probably going to be that way. And I think they understand.”

Woodson said he plans to rotate Camby, Wallace and Kurt Thomas in the frontcourt.

“I got three guys that can pitch in and play 10-15 minutes and it can vary night in and night out,” he said. “But they better be positive minutes, that’s all I can tell you.”
