Former Penn State commit Brandon Austin will visit Providence beginning Friday and UConn the following weekend, his mentor, Lonnie Lowery, confirmed to SNY.tv.

“He’s going to go [to UConn] next weekend,” Lowery said. “Fly up Thursday and start on Friday.”

The 6-foot-6 Austin is also considering Texas, Georgetown and Temple, Lowery said.

The No. 13 small forward in the Class of 2013, Austin has taken an unofficial to Temple and will also visit Georgetown and Texas.

“We’re working on Georgetown now,” Lowery said. “He’s definitely going to visit Texas.”

Lowery said Syracuse and UCLA haven’t been in touch recently.
