Hallice Cooke, one of the top shooting guards in the Class of 2013 out of two-time defending New Jersey Tournament of Champions winner St. Anthony, will be contributing periodically to ZAGSBLOG entering his senior season. Here’s his first entry:

    How’s it going, basketball world?

I’m Hallice Cooke, and I will be spending this whole month in the lab working on my craft. After winning the Rumble In The Bronx, I could’ve been like most kids and taken a couple days off, but for those who know me know I’m a gym rat and I was right back in the gym the next day.

This past week my high school team, St. Anthony’s, played in the Linden Team Camp. We put together a great showing and are looking forward to building something special off of that.

At the end of the week, June 15 was here and the madness had begun. As soon as 12 p.m hit, my phone was blowing up. I spoke with some my favorite coaches in Shaka Smart (VCU), Brad Stevens (Butler), Dan Hurley, Bobby Hurley (Rhode Island), and received texts from many others.

I currently hold offers from VCU, URI, Richmond, USF, Seton Hall, La Salle, St. Joe’s, Rice, Iona and San Francisco. I also have interest from many high-majors and Ivy League schools. I look forward to earning some of those high-major offers this July.
