The long and winding recruitment of Savon Goodman could come to an end at any time, with SMU and UNLV the leading contenders.
“This late in the game he could commit at any time,” Philly Constitution coach Rob Moore told SNY.tv. “Looks like SMU and UNLV are leading the pack. He loved [SMU] coach [Larry] Brown.”
Since taking over at SMU, the 71-year-old Brown has been aggressive in landing transfers Josiah Turner (Arizona) and Crandall Head (Illinois) and could potentially add the 6-foot-6 Goodman to his assets.
Still, Goodman is currently visiting UNLV, as first reported by SNY.tv.
The Rebels have scored huge coups already with transfers Khem Birch (Pitt) and Roscoe Smith (UConn) and Findlay Prep forward Anthony Bennett.
Goodman has also visited Pitt and Seton Hall.
