After helping Teaneck (N.J.) High School win the Bergen Jamboree last week, Chris Jones decided it was time to settle his future plans, too.

The 6-foot-5, 205-pound shooting guard pledged to Pittsburgh on Monday.

“It’s a great school with a great coach and I have a good relationship with [assistant coach] Brandin Knight,” Jones told SNY.tv by text.

Jones said he also held offers from La Salle, Rhode Island, Boston University, Colorado, Nebraska and interest from UConn, Virginia Tech and Seton Hall.

“CJ is a proven winner,” Teaneck coach Jerome Smart said. “He’ll play two to three positions there before he’s done. CJ is the official blueprint of what we want a Teaneck High School basketball player to be.”

Jones scored 14 points last Thursday when Teaneck beat Don Bosco Prep, 62-53, in the Bergen Jamboree final at Ramapo College. He’s averaging 21.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

“I think I can be a good player at the college level,” he said. “Just a guy who can come in and score points and do the little things.”

Jones will likely play one year in the Big East and three in the ACC since Pittsburgh and Syracuse are likely head to the ACC after the 2012-13 season.
