Steve Lavin had some company when he watched 6-foot-8 forward Ricardo Gathers on Saturday.

Florida’s Billy Donovan was also in attendance as Gathers put up 19 points and 15 boards to lead Reserve (La.) Riverside Academy to a 59-55 victory over Tony Parker and Lithonia (Ga.) Miller Grove at the City of Palms Classic.

Parker, who is considering UCLA, Duke, Memphis, Ohio State and Georgetown, had 14 and 6.

Gathers, who decommitted from St. John’s, told Rivals he holds offers from DukeN.C. StateFloridaLSU, St. John’s, CaliforniaUSC and Baylor.

“I want to be with a winner,” he told Jerry Meyer of Rivals. “I want to be with players who compete and play as a team.”
