Onetime Oklahoma commit Richard Peters is headed to the Pac-12.

The 6-foot-10, 260-pound big man from Phoenix (Az.) Westwind Prep picked Washington State over Clemson, Missouri, Florida State, Oklahoma, UConn, Alabama, Louisville, Washington and Texas Tech.

“Since the de-commitment from Oklahoma things have been really hectic for Richy with all the new interest from various mid- and high-major programs,” Kevin Scarlett, Peters’s mentor, told SNY.tv.

“What separated WSU from the rest was constant interest and support shown by the coaching staff at WSU. They made it clear that Richy was not only a want but a need for their program and have made Richy and his family very comfortable in making the decision to attend WSU.”
