St. John’s assistant Mike Dunlap says he’s interested in the Wyoming coaching vacancy.

“When the time is right I would like to talk to those people, but I have not talked to anyone at this particular time because I thought the focus should be with my employers,” Dunlap told The Denver Post.

Dunlap won two NCAA Division II national championships at Denver’s Metro State and also coached with the Denver Nuggets, Arizona and Oregon before joining Steve Lavin’s staff at St. John’s.

The Johnnies face Gonzaga Thursday night in a first-round Southeast Regional game.
