St. Patrick and St. Anthony, the top two high school teams in the nation, are hurtling toward a showdown on March 10 in the New Jersey state tournament.

In this interview, Mike Kinney of The Star-Ledger calls the showdown the “biggest game” of his 28-year-tenure covering New Jersey high school basketball.

“As far as quality teams, as far as national exposure, this has to the biggest game because one and two in the country has never happened before,” Kinney said.

We also discussed Kentucky-bound Michael Gilchrist of St. Patrick, 6-8 St. Anthony junior point guard Kyle Anderson and 6-10 St. Pat’s freshman Dakari Johnson.

Kinney also gave his list of Top 5 all-time Garden State guards: Dajuan Wagner (Camden), Kyrie Irving (St. Pat’s), Bobby Hurley (St. Anthony), Randy Foye (Newark East Side) and Shaheen Holloway (St. Pat’s.)
