  • Long Journey for Kone — and his NLI — to Rutgers

    Malick Kone’s National Letter of Intent will travel half way around the globe and back before he officially joins Rutgers’ heralded 2011 recruiting class sometime next week.

    Kone, a 6-foot-5, 194-pound wing, is a native of the African nation of Guinea.

    In order for his paperwork to be processed, Rutgers first FedExed it to Carrie Woods, Kone’s guidance counselor at the Blue Ridge School in St. George, Va.
