Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep wing Amir Garrett will take his first official visit to Oregon this Friday, according to Findlay assistant Todd Simon.

“Amir visits Oregon Friday,” Simon said by text.

The 6-foot-7 Garrett lists Oregon and St. John’s as his top two, but Simon said no official to St. John’s has been planned as of yet.

    “Not yet,” he said.

Simon said Garrett could wait until the spring signing period to sign.

“It’s possible,” he said. “He doesn’t have a predetermined timeframe but will decide when he feels strongly about it.”

Meantime, a source close to Compton (Calif.) forward Norvel Pelle said he has yet to schedule any official visits.
