Mount Vernon point guard Jabarie Hinds has cut his list to seven schools.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Hinds is considering Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Miami, UConn, UNLV and West Virginia.

“I only have two official visits planned in September, Oklahoma State and UNLV,” Hinds, the No. 23 point guard in the Class of 2011, said Tuesday.

“I’m going to take four officials just in case I don’t sign in the fall. I’ll have one extra visit.”

Hinds said he planned to sign in the fall but it is possible he could wait until the spring.

He says no school leads right now.

    “No favorites,” he said.

    SNY INVITATIONAL SET

The 2011 SNY Invitational is set for Jan. 28-29 and will feature Mount Vernon, Boys & Girls, Rice and St. Anthony.

Hall of Famer Bob Hurley will lead the Friars as the first non-New York team into the annual event.

Among the star players who will compete are Hinds, junior shooting guard Mike Taylor of Boys & Girls,  junior point guard Kyle Anderson of St. Anthony and senior  point guard Myles Mack of St. Anthony.
