  • John Fields Visiting Miami, Tennessee

    John Fields, a 6-foot-9, 225-pound big man who is transferring from North Carolina Wilmington, is considering Miami, Rutgers, Xavier and Tennessee.

    He will visit Miami Tuesday-Thursday before heading to Tennessee Thursday.

    Fields also visited Rutgers last Thursday-Saturday  and was at Xavier before that.

    Fields, a Fayetteville, N.C. native, spent two seasons at East Carolina before transferring to UNCW, where he averaged 10.2 points and a team-best 8.7 boards.

    He sat out the the last four games with a knee injury.

    He did not pick up his cell phone Monday morning.
