Pope Hopes Revis’ Success Rubs Off

NEWARK — Herb Pope and Darrelle Revis both come from Aliquippa, Pa.

Both play for teams in New Jersey.

And both had big games Saturday against opponents from Cincinnati.

So, who had the bigger win?

“Us, us, us. The Jets won? If this [comment] gets out, ‘Good job, Darrelle. Great game,’” Pope said after posting 14 points and 7 rebounds in Seton Hall’s 83-76 victory over Cincinnati (11-5, 2-2 Big East) at the Prudential Center.

Shame on SNY for bailing out on the SHU game with about five minutes to to. That’s a very unprofessional move. So much for their hype about being the home of the Big East. They showed SHU to the door of their “home.” It was very bush-league.

Regarding the recruits: Is SHU recruiting anybody who is not a guard? Are they going after any power forwards or centers?

Agree about SNY’s move. Although they did provide a stream online (if they didn’t….) it was of average to low quality. Since when does Jets post game coverage come before a live game on the “Big East Network? It wasn’t as if the SHU game had gone over its time block either.

Adam, what a disgrace SNY is. To leave a LIVE sporting event for a Postgame show tells Pirate fans and all Big East fans what a joke SNY and their status as the areas “Big East Station” is.
