AZ,

Adreian Payne cancelled his visit to Kansass "Gangster U".
NOT a surprise at all.

And the NCAA is reviewing West Virginia recruiting violations.

If the NCAA applies the appropriate sanctions;then, WV will NOT be allowed to continue the recruitment.

Based on the aforementioned, the odds are ... Payne will be a WILDCAT.

Nothing will happen to WVU or Payne. They won't get him, but it won't have anything to do with the NCAA (the smart money says the NCAA will simply clarify its position on fan involvement of recruiting). I'm not sure why you're obsessing with such minor incidences.

The NCAA sanctions on West Virginia are.....

What will the NCAA penalities be?

First, did the WV antics cause an unfair advantage?
The answer is a resounding- YES.

Secondly, did the WV antics cause a significant advantage?
With all the other schools behaving (still await KU Gangster U conduct),
ALL the combine efforts/violations DOES provide a significant advantage.

If the NCAA uses the case from last year...the one involving Cali-Memphis.
A Fed Ex offcier contacted Mrs. Gaddy in order to talk about her son, Abdul Gaddy.
I believe the NCAA did not allow Memphis to continue its recruitment of Abdul and A.Gaddy could not commit to that school.

So, if this case is followed ;then, expect similiar actions associated with Adreian Payne.

But, the NCAA has done stranger stuff....

West Viriginia and the Big East....continues.

Three things..

First, Big East and WV have agreed that at LEAST ONE rule was violated.

Ok. I could of told you that. Both are working on how many RULES were actually violated. Refer to comments below.

TWO:
What is the saying? Do not shot the messenger.
Big East is the messenger.
Lady Jennifier makes it CLEAR. The Big East does NOT review the so call "facts" submitted by West Virginia. The Big East does not validate the statements made by West Virginia admin.

Three:
SELF REPORTING. ?
The process underway is not SELF REPORTING. It is just reporting.

What happens if the facts outlined do NOT match the pictures. With discrepancies in the facts, the NCAA will have to independently investigate.

------quoutes from today (charlestondailymail)

"the school and the conference said ... the two parties are working with the NCAA regarding specific items and incidents and to determine if those may have violated RULES regarding the recruitment of prospective student-athletes. ...Adreian Payne

"We have done our review and, per procedure, submitted everything to the Big East," said Chad Wall, WVU's director of compliance.
"They will relay that to the NCAA and they are going to render a decision based on what we have provided."

The NCAA tells us if the set of facts (organized and submitted by WVU) causes a violation or does not," Condaras said.

"If it does, we advise the school accordingly and they'll be REQUIRED to report the violations."

AZ,

How did we know that a W.V. story was coming.
Showing some love for Bobbie before the storm.
The storm has been brewing for a week...lol
(It started right here.)

How could the BIG EAST conference OK...the West Virginia antics which transpired with Adreian Payne. WHATZ up there? (Lady Jennifier.)

If the BIG EAST commisioner feels that WV conduct is acceptable and the NCAA sees NO violations....then, SEC, BIG12 and PAC10 will have some CRAZY recruiting antics in the next few weeks.
