That was clear by the fact that Self dropped Lance Stephenson to get X. Wall might be the best prospect in the class, but he's hardly the most sought after considering the programs that wanted no part in his recruitment (KU, UNC, Florida?, likely Duke). Wall fits in well in Calipari's system since he can't shoot and will have to get to the next level on athleticism. I do doubt that he'll get any better under Cal (because very few players do), but it's clear that he's not interested in getting better (or at least Clifton isn't), just getting paid.
