    NEW YORK — Mike Krzyzewski pulled one win closer to his mentor Bob Knight on the all-time victory list in men’s college basketball Thursday night.

    But it wasn’t easy until the second half.

    That’s when Duke outscored Southern Illinois 54-35 to cruise to an 83-58 victory in the semifinals of the 2K Sports Classic to benefit Coaches vs. Cancer at Madison Square Garden. Duke will face Michigan for the championship Friday night at 7, with UCLA meeting Southern Illinois in the consolation game at 5.
