Sorry to bother you, but I was just wondering if you knew if Malik Stith actually "de-committed" from St. John's? [a rumor to that effect yesterday]

Mike,

I know what you're saying, but in speaking with Coach Gonzalez, if Keon gets the waiver there is absolutely no way he doesn't play this year. They figure they'd have him for the entire Big schedule and that he could make a significant enough impact in terms of helping them win games in the regular season and the tournament.

You're right that he and Pope would then only player together for a year and a half, as opposed to two years, but that's what will happen.

Again, the team needs to continue to recruit effectively to build on what they already have.

This may be a dumb question but I'd like to hear your take on it. If Keon Lawrence does get a hardship waiver, he will not be able to play until the second semester. Obviously as of right now we will only have 8 players eligible this season (9 if Oliver gets cleared). Right now, unfortunately, I do not see a postseason appearance for this team. Taking that into account, do you think Seton Hall might be better off with Lawrence not getting the waiver and getting two full seasons of eligibility? I know we need the depth this year but I'm wondering if it would be more beneficial to have Lawrence available for two seasons on the floor with Herb Pope, rather than one if he was to get the waiver this season. I might be looking too much into it, and sorry if the question confuses you, but what do you think?
