The foundation – Burrell, Kennedy, Coker, Boothe, Thomas, Horne, Roberts – is in place. And people are finally starting to realize that SJU is only a stud or two(Williams & Stephenson??) away from making a serious run in both the big east and ncaa tourney in ‘09. My guess is this kid realizes that and signs with the johnnies sooner rather than later.

Now the Terps are involved with these guys, as well as Isaiah Epps, Taran Buie and Tobias Harris.

My gut says Williams to Maryland, but we’ll see.

As for David Bruce, who knows. I’ll try to get an update on him soon.

Most Terps fans seem to feel both Padgett & Williams will give immediate minutes and production for the terps. Understanding star rates aren’t everything these guys are both 3 star prospects. Where and how much do you see him contributing next season providing the Terps land Williams?

If Williams were to opt for Maryland, do you anticipate Norm Roberts making a push for Linden’s David Bruce or, given their scholarship constraints, would they likely save that scholarship for the 2010 class?

What accounts for Maryland’s recent push for NY metro area players, Padgett and Williams?
