Yes, Coach Gonzalez is on record saying his team needs an impact power forward to compete with the Earl Clarks of the world in the Big East. He hopes Herb Pope will be that guy this year, or at least next. The Hall really has no imposing frontcourt players. Bobby had hoped Mike Glover would be that guy, but he appears out of the mix. Now it's Pope, and maybe the addition of a Padgett or Johnson or Famous helps fill that void as well.

Thanks

Adam,

Is it me or is Bobby Gonzalez starting to recruit more big guys than in the past couple of seasons? I know that one of the knocks on Bobby G. was that he liked to play small ball, but that probably would not work out in a big time conference like the Big East. I know that Bobby G. is still trying to get Dominic Cheek in Blue & Grey, but there are names of big men floating around alot : Karron Johnson, Jarrid Famous, Rod Odom, David Bruce and now James Padgett. Is it the Hall is pretty stocked up on perimeter players (with Cheek being the big exception) or has Bobby G. come to realize that you have to have some size in the Big East to compete?

Thanks for your thoughts.
