  • Rutgers Still Misses Rice

    PISCATAWAY, N.J. — The Rutgers football team appears to be experiencing a Ray Rice hangover that is threatening to sink its entire season.

    A year ago at this time, Rice, now a rookie with the Baltimore Ravens, had rushed for 359 yards and five touchdowns, while adding a sixth as a receiver. He finished the season with more than 2,000 yards rushing and 24 TDs. Through two games this year, the entire Rutgers team has rushed for 246 yards and just one touchdown. The offense has produced two – count ’em, two — touchdowns in back-to-back blowout losses to Fresno State and North Carolina.
