The Police played what they say is their final show ever last night — closing things out at Madison Square Garden.

I watched 3 songs from the first encore — King of Pain, So Lonely and Every Breath You Take — on the bestbuy.com streamline video while I was down here at the Jersey Shore.

Would’ve loved to have been there, but I saw them earlier on this tour and they were great.
We hear Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, James Gandolfini and Mickey Dolenz of The Monkees were in the house.

Read here for a writeup of the show and setlist from their final show.
