UCLA will open the season in the Coaches vs. Cancer 2008 2K Sports Classic and will host two rounds. The winners of each of the four brackets will advance to Madison Square Garden in New York (Nov. 20-21).

Duke, Michigan and either Pitt or Rutgers are also involved, according to Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports.com.

In other tournament news, Rutgers will reportedly host a five-team event at the RAC around Thanksgiving featuring Rutgers, St. Bonaventure, Delaware, Robert Morris and Marist. The school will not officially comment until the non-conference schedule is released.

Also,  the 2008 EA Sports Maui Invitational features St. Joe’s, Alabama, Chaminade, Indiana, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oregon and Texas. The event runs Nov. 24-26 at the Lahaina Civic Center.
