Tobiasharris9_7150_2Internet rumors that Tobias Harris might be leaving Dix Hills (NY) Half Hollows Hills West are false, according to his father.

“That’s a big false rumer, Tobias transferring to (Bishop) Loughlin,” Torrel Harris wrote in an email.

A 6-foot-7 sophomore shooting guard, Harris has received offers from UConn, Maryland, Arizona, Virginia Tech, Indiana and Rutgers, with Rutgers being the first.

“He really likes (Rutgers assistant) CRaig Carter and Coach (Fred) Hill of Rutgers,” Torrel said. “He believes they are very sincere and caring coaches beyond basketball.”

Harris dropped in 52 points in a game in February and has more than 1,000 career points already.
