R.J. Hall has chosen his destination.
The onetime Florida Atlantic commit from Bloomfield Tech has decided to attend Marist and play for Chuckie Martin.
“He had a great visit so I’m very, very comfortable with Chuck,” Tech coach Nick Mariniello said. “It’s a very good academic school. It will be a good balance of academics and basketball for him.
“Also, it’s a good proximity from here (Newark) so his parents can see him in the MAAC.”
Martin also reportedly landed former Davidson commit Alex Vouyoukas out of Blair Academy this week, and will get a visit from Lincoln High big man Justin Greene.
The 5-foot-10 Hall, who averaged 14 points and 5 assists, de-committed from Florida Atlantic after Rex Walters left for San Francisco. He also considered Boston University, New Hampshire and Robert Morris.
Hall was a first-team All-Essex performer and Essex County Scholar-Athlete. He chalked up 103 varsity wins in his career.
Hall is the ninth Bloomfield Tech player to receive a college scholarship in the last four years, following Courtney Nelson (Rutgers), Casiem Drummond (Villanova), Wesley Jenkins (St. Peter’s), Rashon Dwight (Iona), Da’Sean Butler (West Virginia), Dante Rollins (Caldwell) and Jason Wilson and Dashawn Dwight (Quinnipiac).
