    Sofman_rutgersJustin Sofman wishes Rutgers the best, but he’s moving full steam ahead on his own.

    The 6-foot-4 Sofman announced two weeks ago that he was leaving Rutgers after his freshman season on the basketball team, a season in which he endured a fractured jaw that forced him to miss seven games and then saw limited playing time the rest of the way.

    “It was really frustrating but you just have to keep a good frame of mind,” the former Herald News All-Area selection from West Milford High School said Monday by phone, his first interview since the news broke. “It’s hard to, but you just try to play well and have fun.”
